We had a wonderful stay at Deer Hostel. the staff was incredibly sweet and caring, and the facilities, while not overly fancy, were comfortable and just what we needed. the location of the hostel was perfect, as it was very close to the JR station, the main street, and the park with the deer. We also appreciated how clean everything was, as the place had recently been renovated. there was a laundromat just a minute away and plenty of food options and convenience stores within walking distance.
Didn't dislike anything about the property. 😊.

Felt like part of the family, no complaints whatsoever.

We had a great stay at this cozy and homey hostel. The public area was comfortable, with sofa and dining tables that made us feel at home. The luggage storage point had a 24hr camera, which was reassuring. The staff was friendly, and we were even greeted with a sweet and juicy persimmon upon arrival. The location was convenient, within walking distance to the train stations and temple. Although the walks were a bit lengthy, it was manageable, with a maximum of 30 minutes to Todaiji. The room was clean, and despite sharing the small space with others, we would definitely choose this property again for its local feel.

We had a great time exploring the beautiful city and staying at a comfortable hostel. The location was perfect, with easy access to train stations and attractions like the deer park and temples. The facility was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed meeting fellow travelers and the atmosphere was welcoming.
